  • 1./2.10.25: 9th Sustainable Finance Summit

Join the Sustainable Finance Summit and experience two days of inspiring and insightful presentations and discussions.

The German economy is facing immense challenges. In addition to the need for a short-term return to economic growth, a transformation towards future-proof and resilient business models is essential. These models must take into account the opportunities and risks associated with climate change and biodiversity. This raises several questions: What is the overarching economic and political vision? What does the path to achieving it look like? Who will bear the costs of this transformation? And what needs to be considered when implementing those future-oriented projects?

The Sustainable Finance Summit 2025 will address those key questions and related challenges. Under the motto “Sustainable Financing: Bridging the Gap Between Finance and the Real Economy”, this year’s event will focus on the necessity of close collaboration between businesses and the financial sector to achieve a sustainable future.

Our mission

The Sustainable Finance Cluster was created in 2018 from a merger of the Accelerating Sustainable Finance Initiative of Deutsche Börse and the Green Finance Cluster Frankfurt of the Hessian Ministry of Economics. The aim was to bundle activities in the field of sustainable finance in order to make more efficient use of financial market expertise in the area of sustainability. The main aim is to formulate and implement concrete approaches for the sustainability of national and international financial markets.

We are the central point of contact for questions on Sustainable Finance for the financial sector, the real economy, academia, and politics. Our aim is to work closely with all stakeholders in order to pool existing expertise in the field of sustainable finance and develop it further together. In this way, we create clear added value for our members and sponsors. We want Germany to develop into a leading location for sustainable finance – we provide the impetus for this.

Kaweh Mansoori
Deputy Minister-President and Minister for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport, Housing and Rural Areas in Hesse

„Sustainable finance is the key to a long-term stable and future-proof economic system. Every investment today has an impact – not just on your wallet, but on society and our environment. A truly sustainable and future-proof economic and financial policy must focus on this added impact by including environmental and social criteria in the decision-making process.“
